OnePlus has talked more about the camera on the upcoming OnePlus 10 Pro in the latest news release about the phone coming from CES 2022. OnePlus 10 Pro has been officially announced, we know what it looks like, and we know the basic specifications, but now we are getting some finer details about the camera on the back of the phone along with some sample images. Is.
At the top of the list is the announcement that the phone’s wide-angle camera will have a 150-degree field of view, which is wider than most of the competition, which typically maxes out at around 120-degrees. It will also feature a fish-eye camera mode for recreating unusual ultra-wide-angle photos taken by dedicated fish-eye cameras.
It sounds exciting and until recently, 150-degree wide-angle view and fish-eye mode would have been a first on a smartphone, except that Realme has beaten OnePlus with the Realme GT 2 Pro, which also has 150-degree wide. -Angle camera and fish-eye mode. Chance? No, Realme is part of the BBK Electronics empire along with Oppo, Vivo, and, you guessed it, OnePlus.
what else? The camera on the OnePlus 10 Pro will shoot photos in 10-bit color using a feature called OnePlus Billion Color Solution. It works with partner Hasselblad’s Natural Color Calibration software, which provides a seamless transition between colors for a more natural look. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a 10-bit color camera, as it was a feature on the Oppo Find X3 Pro. To fully appreciate 10-bit color images, you’ll have to view them on a 10-bit color screen, but we don’t have final screen specs for the OnePlus 10 Pro’s screen to know if it has yet. This is capability.
We’re waiting for more news on how OnePlus has worked with Hasselblad on the camera of the OnePlus 10 Pro, and now we know it will have a second-generation Hasselblad Pro mode, which will be available on all three cameras on the phone. Will happen. It features a RAW+ shooting mode that adds computational photography elements to normal RAW video for higher dynamic range and greater noise reduction. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that Hasselblad has worked on the camera hardware of the OnePlus 10 Pro.
Lastly, the camera’s Pro mode also has a Move mode. It adds control over ISO and shutter speed when shooting video, and the ability to record in log format without any picture enhancements. It is best suited for those who want more freedom over the look of the video in editing.
The OnePlus 10 Pro will launch in China on January 11, with US, European and Indian launches taking place later in 2022.
