Now that we’ve looked at that, the big question remains the powertrain and what kind of range are we looking at. Today’s Outlander PHEV Comes with 2.4-litre inline-four engine and two electric motors. A 13.8 kilowatt-hour battery provides the electric motor juice. In all, there is 221 horsepower on tap and the SUV can go up to 24 miles on battery power alone. Mitsubishi has said in the past that this new SUV will be a . will come with Next generation plug-in systems, so expect the range figure to tick upward.

We’ll see this SUV in full on October 28, before it goes on sale first in Japan in December, and then in the US by the middle of next year.
