Audible, the Amazon-owned audiobook service, has shut down its daily audio digest of stories the new York Times, wall street journal And Washington Post.
Audible programs, which were available as a perk to Audible customers, had been around for more than two decades in some cases. The decision to close Digest reflects the growing number of daily news podcasts and the rise of other services offering human-perceived audio of newspaper and magazine stories.
