The Battlefield 2042 beta is “a few months old”, developer EA DICE has claimed.
Right below, you can see some of the tweets from the EA DICE community manager posted earlier this week. In response to various bugs and other technical issues reported by players in the Battlefield 2042 beta this week, the developer has tried to quell game quality fears by assuring players that this version of the game is a few months old. .
Our open beta is a few months old now. We polish and enhance it to make sure it is representative of the games we make, but naturally we are making daily improvements, changes and enhancements all the time. Pardon our dust – and enjoy the gameplay! pic.twitter.com/vMArHkpLAD5 October 2021
Elsewhere, EA DICE general manager Oscar Gabrielson added a few more tweets the next day. Gabrielson says that the team at EA DICE has made “astonishing progress over the past few months,” especially highlighting visual improvements like stability that unfortunately didn’t make it into the current beta for Battlefield 2042.
And we want you all to know that after launching in these last few weeks, we are making great progress and are highly focused on delivering an amazing experience when Early Access begins on November 12th! See you on the battlefield! pic.twitter.com/h91nrdltaKOctober 6, 2021
It’s a shame that Battlefield 2042 players are facing technical issues in the ongoing open beta, but EA DICE is firm in its statement that these issues do not reflect the final game. After all, a beta test is exactly that: a testing phase, and by no means the final build of a game like Battlefield 2042.
It’s not long before Battlefield 2042 finally arrives, when EA DICE’s new shooter launches next month on November 19th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. There’s only a few days left for the Battlefield 2042 beta to end this weekend on October 9th, so there’s still time to sample the new game if you’ve yet to try it out on PC or console.
