Black Friday MacBook Pro deals are always super important, and this year is certainly not going to be any different. Not only are we almost a year after the launch of the amazing 13-inch M1 MacBook Pro, but we’re probably about to launch some new and powerful MacBook Pros later this month at Apple’s October hardware event.
Black Friday 2021 is about to come 26 November, which is only about six weeks away. And, if Apple has a lineup of really fresh MacBooks, we fully expect both those and existing models to get some pretty deep discounts just in time for the holidays.
And it won’t be just the Apple Store with these sweet discounts. Other retailers like Best Buy, Amazon and B&H Photo will have some pretty great discounts on premium laptops from Apple. That’s a lot to be sure, but we’re professional bargain hunters, so we’ll be keeping an eye on all retailers to make sure you don’t miss out on the best MacBook Pro deals.
We’ll also offer some advice below, so you can be prepared and knowledgeable when all the MacBook Pro deals start to surface ahead of Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2021.
Today’s best MacBook Pro deals
Just because Black Friday isn’t really here until November 2021, doesn’t mean you can’t save on a MacBook Pro right now. There are always MacBook Pro deals out there somewhere, and we’ve gathered a couple below to whet your appetite for when the big sales start to show up closer to the holiday season.
MacBook Pro (2020, 13-inch, M1)
$1,299 $1,179 on Amazon
Apple blew us away last year when it launched the MacBook Pro with its own custom Apple M1 chip. Not only was it more powerful than most Intel U-series chips, but the battery life actively blew us away. And right now on Amazon you can save $120 on the entry-level model. View Deals
MacBook Pro (2020, 13-inch, M1)
$1,799 $1,499 at Best Buy
The MacBook Pro M1 is super powerful, but the entry-level model doesn’t have enough RAM or storage for us. However at Best Buy you can get this MacBook Pro with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD for just $1,499 which is a massive $300 discount before Black Friday. View Deals
What to expect from Black Friday MacBook Pro deals
When will the best Black Friday MacBook Pro deals start in 2021?
While Black Friday only falls on November 26th, we’re going to start showing the actual deals much earlier. Typically, we start seeing Black Friday deals in the two weeks leading up to the actual date, with some retailers like Best Buy running Black Friday ads throughout November – as it did in 2020.
However, retailers are becoming more aggressive with their ads every year, and we wouldn’t be surprised if we start seeing early deals around the end of October. We don’t know if widespread chip shortages are going to change this behavior, but it’s likely that we’ll see deals start appearing very soon.
Where are the best places to find Black Friday MacBook Pro deals?
While it may be tempting to just stick to the Apple Store for your Black Friday MacBook Pro deals, it’s actually one of the worst places to find them. Third-party retailers are where you’re actually going to find stuff on Black Friday.
In our experience, Amazon will usually have one or two Very good MacBook Pro deals that will sell out almost immediately. So, if you’re online on a Thursday morning, you might find something like Really good.
Best Buy is usually the best place to find Black Friday MacBook Pro deals, as it offers discounts on Apple’s flagship laptops all year round—you can actually save $300 on one right now.
And don’t be put off by creative-focused stores like Adorama Photo and B&H Photos & Videos. MacBook Pros are extremely popular with artists and photographers, so expect huge discounts at these stores as well.
Should You Wait For Black Friday MacBook Pro Deals?
Right now, especially if you’re after a 16-inch MacBook Pro, we’d recommend waiting, and not just because it’s not Black Friday yet. We’re expecting new versions of Apple’s laptops in the near future, and you don’t want to spend a ton of cash on a laptop that will be out of date next week.
And don’t think we won’t see deals on the new Apple hotness just because it just came out. We’ll absolutely see deals start to show up on whatever is announced, as we do every year.
Again, if you’re in dire need of a new MacBook because yours is broken or you need it for work, waiting for a sale on a MacBook Pro could end up costing you in the long run – money is time after all. .
3 Black Friday MacBook Pro deals to watch
The MacBook Pro isn’t just a device, and the right device for you will largely depend on the kind of work you’re going to do. For example, the 13-inch MacBook Pro is best suited for traveling professionals who need enough juice to do some photo editing and word processing without anything that’s going to weigh them down.
Then there’s the new 16-inch MacBook Pro, which is extremely powerful and a perfect pick for creative professionals who need a lot of horsepower. Video editors, musicians, and others will love how fast this app can chew up a workload.

In November 2020, Apple released its biggest change to the 13-inch MacBook Pro in years, with its own custom M1 processor. We were a little apprehensive at first, but have come to love how powerful this little chip is. This laptop will be able to relieve you of any kind of workload, while being light enough that it will fit in your bag without causing much pain. It’s not sad that it’s the MacBook Pro that we expect to see the most deals for Black Friday this year.

This is a heavy hitter. The year ahead for the 16-inch MacBook Pro may be 2019, but don’t think it’s old. It has an incredibly powerful 10th generation Intel H-series processor and dedicated AMD graphics that will absolutely dominate any creative workload you throw at it, especially if you’re using Apple’s wide array of creative software . This is what we’re expecting for a new version in late October, so we’re sure some retailers will have some pretty amazing Black Friday 16-inch MacBook Pro deals.

The non-M1 13-inch MacBook Pro might not be making headlines anymore, but that doesn’t mean it’s a slouch. It’s still an incredibly thin and light laptop. The 10th generation Intel processors are more than capable of handling anything you can throw at it, and it still has everything else that makes the MacBook Pro great. Expect to see some pretty deep discounts on this MacBook Pro for Black Friday as retailers clear their stock.
