The Call of Duty: Vanguard beta audio can be strangely muted at times, as expressed by many players via feedback and – it will sound far-fetched – memes.
a popular post on Dedicated Vanguard Subreddit Thanks developer Sledgehammer Games for “attention to detail with historical accuracy”, especially in regards to “why most soldiers have severe hearing damage”. [a] lack of hearing protection.” As user ian2345 argues, this is a clear explanation of why “all weapons sound sharp and everything sounds muted.”
Your experience with Vanguard Beta may vary depending on your platform and setup (and, you know, your ears), but some players clearly find that some audio balance is a little off, some sound clunky. Say nothing in effect. Players have uncovered buried weapons, submachine guns, extraordinarily loud character callouts, and the sound of “when someone shoots at me, thump with a shoe,” as Shendelan96 put it in a post above. as we said in our call of duty vanguard beta impressionsThe game sounds familiar but fun, though our own Ben Tyrer agreed that some of the audio was useless. Of course, this was just beta, and it’s up to the beta to make adjustments based on player feedback. Maybe we’ll hear some light-hearted gunslinging and effects throughout the game when it arrives on November 5.
