Actor Oti Fagbenle received his first Emmy Award nomination for his performance as Luke in the Hulu series The Handmaid’s Tale.

Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series – 2021

For four seasons, OT Fagbenle played Luke Hulu series The Handmaid’s Tale. Luke is the husband of June Osborne, played by Elisabeth Moss. The Handmaid’s Tale has 21 nominations, one of which is for Fagbenle as Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. His nomination came days after the inauguration marvel movie black widow In which he played Rick Mason as Natasha Romanoff alongside Scarlett Johansson.

Lauren Ashley Smith – A Black Lady Sketch Show

Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series – 2021

HBO’s A Black Lady Sketch Show Hilarious, smart and original. It was co-starred and created by actor, writer and comic Robin Theed, who cast Lauren Ashley Smith as the lead writer. Smith is the first black woman to be the lead writer on a sketch TV show and, in her words, “kick the door so that a lot of people can be there.”

Chris Chalk – Perry Mason

Outstanding Cinematography – 2021

During the pandemic, many of us found that an exodus was new Perry Mason series on HBO. Matthew Rice, from Outstanding Show The Americans, stars alongside actor Chris Chalk as the Titanic defense attorney who defeats cop Paul Drake. The onscreen chemistry between Rhys and Chak is one of the things that makes this Perry Mason so charming.

Laura Donnelly and Ann Skelly – The Navarro

Outstanding Special Visual Effects – 2021

Navarro Part X-Men, part League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and part sci-fi thriller on HBO Max. Driving the show are complex female characters, two of whom are portrayed by Laura Donnelly and Ann Skelly. Donnelly plays Amalia True, a mysterious, quick-witted widow, and Skelly Pennance, a brilliant young inventor. The two were “touched” during a mysterious incident in Victorian England that left him and the others with abilities.

The Nevers deals with both “Victorian things” and the problems we will experience in 2021. The show is nominated for Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Single Episode.
