Call of Duty 2021 is yet to be officially revealed. While Activision-Blizzard has confirmed that a new entry in the long-running annual franchise will arrive later in 2021, with development led by Sledgehammer Games, there aren’t many official details just yet. Now, it appears the game will not be revealed around E3 2021, but sometime in the coming months.
According to a report from VGC, the next Call of Duty will not be revealed during E3 2021. Instead, it will be part of an in-game event for Warzone, although it is expected to happen sometime during the summer. Part of this reveal from Warzone will include new post-World War II themed content, including an entirely new map of the Pacific.
Activision has previously stated that this new game will be built as a “next generation experience”, although VGC reports that the game will release on Xbox One and PS4 in addition to Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS5 and PC Will happen.

The next Call of Duty isn’t the only big first-person shooter coming in the holiday period of 2021. Battlefield 2042 is coming October 22, with a gameplay showcase set for Xbox and the Bethesda Games Showcase set for June 13. It’s a multiplayer-only game, with 128 players on the latest consoles, while older versions are limited to just 64 players.
Meanwhile, Halo Infinity is also inbound sometime in the fall of 2021, last year’s Xbox Series X | After the delay in the launch of S. It’s highly likely we’ll see more of Halo Infinity at the upcoming Xbox Showcase as well as the release date.
