What are foreign artifacts?
The newly added exotic artifacts are a new form of currency that is used to buy cosmetics for the Kymera exotic skin. After purchasing a Battle Pass, players gain access to customizable Kymera Aliens, but the only way to get more style is to buy them with Alien Artifacts. Most of the lower tier options are cheap at about two or three alien artifacts, but if you take a quick look at the options, you’ll see that it can cost a lot to get all the styles you want.
Upper-tier styles cost about 17 exotic artifacts, so if they are what you want, you need to start working towards earning more currency. Below, we’ll go over some of the ways to earn Alien Artifacts fortnite.
alien artifacts map
There are two ways to get your hands on alien artifacts. The easiest way is to collect specific, fixed places around a map by visiting them. Using the map above (thanks, Fortnite.gg), you can see all five locations around the map. Each gives you four, so if you collect them all, you’ll get 20 in total. Keep in mind that once you collect one, it’s dispensed, so you can only grab each of them once. It is possible that players will spawn more from time to time to keep stock.
Here’s where to find each one, specifically.
First Alien Artifact Location: Northeast of Believer Beach
You can collect them in any order, but let’s start with the Alien Artifact location northeast of Believer Beach. You can find it on the stairs to the summit, about halfway. The summit is close to the shore.
Second Alien Artifact Location: West of Weeping Woods
Next, head to the restaurant west of Weeping Woods. The alien artifact is under the roof outside with a pile of wood.
Third Alien Artifact Location: Center of the Map
This is the easiest to find. It’s right in the middle of the map, floating above the water. This is the purple sphere that used to be The Spire in Season 6.
Fourth Alien Artifact Location: North of the Corny Complex
After that, you can head to the area north of the Corny Complex near a grove of trees. Alien artifact is found near a house.
Fifth Alien Artifact Location: Katy’s Corner
Finally, the last one is on a platform facing west, at Katy’s Corner. It is north of the gas station.
There’s another way to get your hands on alien artifacts, though it’s less reliable. You can collect Alien Artifacts from Cosmic Chests, which move around randomly throughout the map and appear only in Duos, Trios, and Squads (they don’t appear in Solos). When the Cosmic Chest appears, you and your team must strike weak points with your harvesting equipment to open it. Currently, there doesn’t seem to be much rhyme or reason to spawn them.
For this reason, we recommend landing on the small island south of Katy’s Corner to catch a flying saucer and use it to fly around the area until you find one. Be on the lookout for a bright purple orb with a chest inside. Since cosmic chests are small and can be difficult to spot, we recommend staying close to the ground, which will make them easier to spot. Once you find one, land next to it and hit the weak points until it explodes. Note that it takes several hits to burst open, so try to do this with the whole team if possible.
You have a chance of getting a random number of alien artifacts using this method, ranging from two to nine. The cool thing about this method is that you can use it to constantly collect alien artifacts, assuming you can find Cosmic Chests.
