Eternal was intended to be a second Phase 4 film. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the entire release schedule was torn down, and Eternals will now come after Black Widow and Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings. This makes the Eternals release date of November 5, 2021.

Eternals was previously due to hit theaters in the November 2020 slot, but was initially pushed back to February 2021 over Shang-Chi’s original release slot. However, as the pandemic continued and Black Widow was again moved to May 2021 and again to July 2021, Eternals found themselves in their current November slot.

We are sure the wait will be worth it. In fact, director Chloe Zhao has promised as much, saying that Eternal will strive to top Endgame in scope.

“How much further and bigger can we [Avengers:] Endgame?” asked Zhao during a heart Interview, before adding. “Because I’m not just making the film as a director. I’m making the film as a fan.”

Filming on Eternal actually kicked off in 2019, with the release date changed. Salma Hayek said about the experience entertainment tonight: “I think it definitely has its own DNA within the Marvel universe. It’s different. It was directed by a woman and we didn’t do most things in the studio. Those are real places that’s unusual for Marvel I am very excited about the film, it definitely has this special vibe which is unique. I am really excited about it and I love my character and I love the cast.”

Eternals will also be a theatrical exclusive, meaning there is no Disney Plus Premiere Access.

Eternal Trailer

In the first Eternals teaser, we learn that Titanic’s ancient superhero team has stopped interfering directly in human history throughout the years — but it looks like something has changed — maybe Thanos Snape brought them back, or something else terrifying awaits. Has been doing . Though the trailer doesn’t reveal much, it shows a star-studded cast. There’s also a lot of action, and there’s also a reference to two familiar former Avengers at the end of the clip.

The final trailer has also been released, which is the next big threat after Thanos. In the footage, Gemma Chan’s Cersei explains to Kit Harrington’s Dan Whitman that the Eternals didn’t step in to stop Thanos because they only handle gods, and there are several moments in the trailer where we see the new heroes fighting these sinister, monstrous Watching you fight. Jiva is also a look at the two celestial realms – the vast cosmic beings who told the infinite not to interfere in human affairs.

Salma Hayek’s Ajak also reveals the next big threat: The Emergence has been given enough energy in the wake of the Avengers undoing the blip in Endgame, though what this actually means remains a mystery. It is clear that they have only seven days to avert the disaster. We also see a Deviant, which is confirmed To be Crow, Angelina was Jolie’s telling Thea that she “can’t protect any of them.”

We got our first official glimpse of Eternal during a Marvel Studios compilation video called Marvel Studios Celebrates the Movies, which you can watch below.

Marvel’s latest super-team is filled with big names, and equally, some promising newcomers. Angelina Jolie will play warrior Thena, and Game of Thrones’ Richard Madden will step into the role of Icaris. Meanwhile, Kumail Nanjiani is a master swordsman and Bollywood movie star Kingo; Brian Tyre Henry is the inventor Fastos; The train for Busan’s Don Lee is Gilgamesh, and Barry Keoghan is Druigg.

The following are playing their second roles in the MCU captain marvelKay Min-Erva plays Eternal Cersei alongside Gemma Chan in Salma Hayek’s Ajak and Kit Harington’s Black Knight. Big cast, isn’t it? And that doesn’t even include Eternal’s enemies, the ladies, for which there’s no casting news yet.

Nanjiani has said From the miscellaneous call sheet: “I was shooting on set, and the director showed me the scene of all of us together in the scene… We all look so different. You never get to see people like this together. Don’t get it. Same room, let alone in terrifying superhero costumes.” The actor said it would be “the most epic of all Marvel movies”.

Salma Hayek also spoke about her enthusiasm for the Gamesradar+ sister publication, total movie. “At 53 – finally! – I can be a superhero,” said the actress. “I play Ajak, who is the leader of superheroes and they are all people you would never have imagined. Angelina except [Jolie]. Angelina – she was born to be a superhero!”

The Eternal Story

The official synopsis for The Eternals reads: “Marvel Studios’ The Eternals features an exciting new team of superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ancient aliens who have been secretly living on Earth for thousands of years. avengers: endgame, An unexpected tragedy forces them to rise out of the shadows to reunite against mankind’s most ancient enemy, the Deviants.”

Wondering who on earth are the gods? No problem: The Deviants, like The Eternals, were created by the Celestials and are, at their core, a dark version of our heroic Eternals. The two groups have repeatedly come into conflict within the pages of Marvel Comics, and it looks like they’ll be bringing their feud down to earth for Phase 4. For more information on who they are and their abilities, GamesRadar+ has your back; check out Ladies explained.

Of course, we already have a million questions. If The Eternals have been on Earth for so long, why didn’t they step into the fight against Thanos and help? Are they living a normal life here with job and family? And what “unforeseen tragedy” will force them out of the shadows? Surely there’s nothing more tragic than Thanos’ snap wiping out half of all living things…

If Kevin Feige and the MCU were to draw inspiration from Neil Gaiman’s limited run of The Eternal Comics, it might be easier to explain these questions to him. In the series, the heroes’ memories were erased by the Sprite before Iron Man became Iron Man, leaving no memory of him being an ethereal race with powerful abilities. Thanos’ presence on Earth and the galaxy-shattering events of Endgame, however, may well awaken these dormant memories. Marvel is done signs of spraying About The Eternal For Years – a testament to his meticulous planning. In Avengers: Infinity War, the Red Skull congratulates Thanos as the “son of Alar”. A’lars is the leader of Titan Eternals…see this adding up yet?

Whilst the Eternals seem to embrace their superhero side, a business leak has revealed our best look yet at what their costumes might look like.

We also know a little more about Gemma Chan’s Cersei. Kevin Feige has said, “If there was a major in this ensemble, it’s Cersei, it’s Gemma Chan,” and Chloe Zhao spoke as well. Vogue UK about the character. “It has always been a passion for me to create a subtle female superhero rarely seen in this genre,” she added. “Gemma was also very interested in the idea and accepted the challenge. She brought gentleness, compassion and a beautiful sense of vulnerability to Cersei, which I believe will invite viewers to reconsider what it means to be heroic. What does it mean?”

Chan himself said: “Cersei isn’t your typical superhero: she’s not necessarily the best fighter, she doesn’t have the most obviously impressive powers. The main thing is that she’s a sympathizer.” She continued: “He has a relationship with humans, and the world, and the earth. That’s his strength, so I leaned into him.”

As far as the character of Kit Harington is concerned, the actor told our sister publication Total Film more about the role, explaining that he is “the human character of the story. He is not an eternal. He is such a character.” Which works with the Natural History Museum in London. But he is not an eternal – that is the main road!”

“I don’t know if my character works or not,” he said. “I had read about who he could be, or could be. So a long trajectory is likely. And hopefully, I think that’s just the tip of the iceberg for my character. I hope so. But I don’t know. , you know? I’m in the dark like anyone else. And I try not to be too ahead with anything in the future. Even when I was in Game of Thrones, sixth In season one, I imagined the seventh season was not going to happen!”
