John Pinett, the communications head of Facebook’s parent company Meta Platforms, has left the company.
“We are grateful for John’s positive contribution during a profound and important time in the company’s history,” a Meta spokesperson said in an email on Saturday. “We wish he moved on.” The spokesperson did not give a reason for Pinett’s departure.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Pinett reported the news to employees in the Friday afternoon post, saying it would be his last day, which had previously reported his exit. Pinett oversaw external communications since 2019 and previously led communications for Google in Asia and served as a consultant, the journal noted.
