What does the future of work look like in a (quasi) post-pandemic world? This is the question all companies, from startups to large corporations, are asking when considering how to allocate and manage their workforce in 2022 and beyond.
Airbnb, for example, chose live anywhere, work anywhere politics, while Twitter has gone hybrid. Distributed work is problematic and, since Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal said.“Anyone who has joined a meeting remotely while others are in the conference room knows the pain.”
Whichever course startups take, they will have more remote staff than ever before. That’s why we’re excited to announce that Mathilde Collin, co-founder and CEO of Front, and Adriana Roche, Mural’s HR director, will be taking this topic on stage at TechCrunch Disruption October 18-20 in San Francisco.
In a session titled “How to Manage HR in a Remote Asynchronous Reality,” Colleen and Roche will talk about various challenges and help founders understand how to manage remote employees. They will talk about what works and what doesn’t when it comes to maintaining a productive distributed workforce.
This is a complex and timely topic, and like you, we have many questions. Here’s more information about the two women we invited to provide answers.
Matilda Collin, co-founder and CEO of Front, a customer communications platform, is known for her values-based leadership style and championing radical top-down transparency. Since founding the company in 2014, Collin has raised more than $138 million in venture capital funding, including a $65 million Series D round last month.
Colleen mentors aspiring entrepreneurs through the work hours of the women founders of All Raise and Pioneer Fund. She has been featured in Forbes Next Billion-Dollar Startups 2019, Inc Magazine’s Women Founders 100 2019 and Forbes 30 Under 30: Enterprise Tech 2017.
Adriana Roche is the Human Resources Director at Mural, a joint intelligence company with more than 900 people working remotely in 29 countries. She leads the team responsible for recruiting, growing and developing team members.
Prior to joining Mural, Roche served as VP of Human Resources and Locations at Segment, where she led a team that over the course of almost five years increased the company’s headcount tenfold and earned several Segment awards as the best place to work.
Roche previously held recruiting positions at Google, Salesforce, and Dropbox, where she managed steeply growing distributed SaaS teams. She is fluent in English, Spanish and French and has a master’s degree in organizational psychology from New York University.
