OnePlus Nord review: Get it for OxygenOS, value for money
The big highlight of the alleged specs sheet is the presence of the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset. If this happens, it will be the first phone from OnePlus that will not have a Qualcomm chipset. Not only will this be a dramatic turnaround for OnePlus, but it will also be a huge boon for MediaTek, which lags behind Qualcomm in the industry.
oneplus nord 2 specs
Outside of the Dimension 1200 chipset, the Nord 2’s specs look pretty basic.
The leak suggests that the Nord 2 may come with a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, along with an in-display fingerprint reader. The display will have a 90Hz refresh rate. It’s not much different from the original Nord, which had a 6.44-inch display with similar specs.
On the back, the Nord 2 can only have three lenses, as opposed to the Nord’s four. The main lens could be 50MP paired with 8MP ultra-wide and another 2MP sensor (depth, perhaps?) The single selfie camera could be a 32MP lens. That means the original Nord’s dual-selfie camera won’t make the cut with the follow-up.
OnePlus phones: History of the company’s complete lineup so far
Powering the phone could be a 4,500mAh cell, which is a nice upgrade from the 4,115mAh cell in the original Nord. Hemmerstoffer doesn’t mention it, but you can expect at least 30W of wired charging with the Nord 2.
Lastly, leaked OnePlus Nord 2 specs suggest there could be two storage variants: 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB. It is highly unlikely that either model will have expandable storage.
It will probably take another month for this phone to be launched. In the meantime, what do you think we know so far?
