Featuring voiceovers that will sound more at home in Skyrim than in the far-flung Ringworld, the latest trailer for MCC sets the stage for a more historical take on Halo, with bizarre armor sets ranging from Roman soldiers and Viking warriors, Uh far inspired by everything. , Skeleton.

Luckily, Feudal Armor isn’t the only thing coming to MCC next week. Season 8 is bringing The Flood to Halo 3: ODST Firefight, Halo 3 is getting a new map based on an overhauled Halo 2 classic, and expanded custom game support to include Halo 1 and 3. (of which the former now has full mode support).

Sadly, it appears that Season 8 may be the last major update the MCC sees for some time. With Halo Infinity heating up this December, 343 is putting the legacy collection on the backburner—and that while there’s still a lot it wants to add to MCC, the seasonal update will likely kick off with this last fall.

Season 8 of Halo: Master Chief Collection arrives next Wednesday, October 13.
