In a nutshell: Toy maker Hasbro is partnering with 3D printing specialists at Formlabs to give fans the chance to own personalized action figures. With the Hasbro Selfie Series, customers can scan their face using the Hasbro Pulse app and then choose the figure they want to be and have it delivered to their doorstep.

Buyers can choose from a library of favorite IPs including GI Joe, Ghostbusters, Power Rangers and Marvel. Hasbro has stated that there will also be designs inspired by Star Wars characters.

“We’ve done extensive research to truly understand the fans’ need for a personalized product, and the team has done a fantastic job of making that dream a reality,” said Brian Chapman, Head of Global Design and Development at Hasbro.

The custom creation will be a 6″ collectible level action figure. The price was not mentioned in the official PR material, but earlier there were rumors of a price of $60. Orders for Hasbro selfie series numbers will start this fall.

Presence of fans Comic-Con in San Diego will be able to preview custom figurines, and some will even have the option to create and purchase their figurines in advance. SDCC 2022 kicks off July 21st and runs until July 24th at the San Diego Convention Center.
