Square Enix’s latest entry in the long-running Assassin series draws on the story of the ‘murder world’ from the previous two games. Agent 47 returns to take on another world-travelling assassin adventure with levels set in locations such as Dubai, Berlin and the UK’s own Dartmoor.

This year’s list of nominations was a great showcase of the variety of PC releases this year, with Hitman 3 winning over former Skyrim-mod The Forgotten City and indie breakout hit Wildersmith.

  • chivalry 2
  • Hitman 3 (WINNER)

In our review, we called Hitman 3 “a great ending to the trilogy, with a satisfying conclusion made from enjoyable and endlessly entertaining levels”.

“There’s something extremely satisfying about unpacking and mastering Hitman 3’s Groundhog Day playgrounds,” wrote Leon Hurley at launch. “It must get boring; seeing a single guard patrolling your patrol, or workers doing chores and characters wandering the well-worn track you know well. But it never gets old. Knowing that there’s the tiniest crack to slip, or a moment to take advantage of, can leave a target oh so tragically killed. That a time traveler who can leave the loop only after the right conditions are met.”

Hitman 3 is available now on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
