Gone, at the height of the pandemic – can stores can’t be left open overnight.

Is Walmart Open on Thanksgiving 2021?
It’s practically an American Thanksgiving tradition that Walmart and other stores open their doors on Thursday evenings and the doorbusters keep swaying all night. However, as we saw in 2020, Walmart stores across the US will completely close their doors for Thanksgiving this year and instead open at 5 a.m. the next day.
Walmart Black Friday Hours 2021
Walmart has officially unveiled its Black Friday store hours, which begins 5 am on Friday 26 November, and ends on 11:00 same day.
Of course, Walmart operates online 24/7, so there’s no real-time restriction on catching some of the Black Friday deals. Walmart is also operating extended delivery hours for the full two hours for the holiday season. Walmart said in a blog post that “drivers will make store-to-door deliveries by 10 p.m. local time. This allows customers to place orders by 6 p.m. for same-day or next-day delivery.”
Walmart Black Friday 2021: In-store Precautions
Walmart has outlined all measures to ensure that customers and employees are safe when rushing in person for Black Friday deals.
“Customers will form a straight line to enter the store,” Walmart explained in its blog post. Its employees “will let customers install meters in stores to help reduce crowding and promote social distancing inside stores.”
You can arrive at 5 a.m., but depending on the number of people, you may have to wait longer to get inside than in years past. Walmart affiliates will have to leave separate living spaces for shoppers in popular sections like electronics, as well as people queuing up to see their carts.
Once it’s your turn to go inside, you’ll be given a clean shopping cart by a colleague, and you’ll be reminded to put on a mask. Inside the store, you’ll be directed to the right side of the aisles and asked to socially distance yourself from others in search of the best deals.
Assuming that you and your fellow customers stay organized, you don’t expect to see the same rush and excitement you saw last Black Friday at Walmart.
