Electo is a YouTuber and a young man of many talents. Usually, these guys drive me crazy but I really like them: they have a sense of humor, a cute assistant named Joe, and also happens to be a really good technical engineer. That knowledge of engineering has now been used to produce … a rideable Minecraft pig.
God above knows why he decided on this project (though it’s a piece with some of his previous work, like building traitors working among us), but he goes to it with some enthusiasm and a few minutes into what looks like a lengthy build process (with some false starts). and nicknamed Bild Hamburgini.
The most impressive part of Pig, to me, is that Electo sticks an IR sensor in the head that can detect 3D-printed ‘carrots’ in front of it: thus, Pigto pursues dinner. Then, of course, it’s time to see if this pig can fly.
The Pig is tested at various power levels, producing a fairly impressive top speed of 16mph even at 60%. When the Electo cranks this kid up to 100% it hits 20mph with ease and, dare I say, could probably go even faster.
Naturally, Electo puts his pig to good use by mounting (denying) the McDonald’s drive-thru and racing our good friend Joe through multiple heats. I’m going to give it to the pig here, though, sadly, our porcine speedster’s adventures have come to a somewhat abrupt end.
It’s always great to see elements of the game in the real world, even if few fan projects go so far. Which, let’s face it, would be an instant best-seller if Mojang officially licensed it, as well as our streets filled with kids riding blocky pigs. on second thoughts…
