The revival of RTS continues with the announcement of a sequel to Men of War. Returning to World War II, Men of War 2 will feature story campaigns on the Western Front and Eastern, allowing you to play as an Allied or Soviet in single player or co-op with up to five players. it is not likely to be amazing voice acting as in the original,
The old direct control system that lets you go down to check things out from an individual soldier’s point of view will be back, and apparently it’s being extended to something called Direct Vision, which lets you “get the whole thing at any time.” Ways to focus on a single unit and let you upgrade, replace, or repair equipment on the fly.” A Front Line mechanic promises to emulate the push-and-pull of combat with shifting boundaries that allow players to “manage attritional battles and advance through areas of the map under control through uncontrolled lines, digging trenches.” and will support the troops in the newly conquered territory.”
Online multiplayer will include a mode where players can compete on a map of confrontation and challenge as Allies, Soviets, or Germans, or collaborate against AI forces. It will also have full mod support.
Men of War 2 is being developed by series originators Best Way and published by 1C Entertainment. It should be available in 2022 Steam,
