Not surprisingly, the application reported 2 billion monthly active users automates most of its support.
Instagram provides an extensive “Help Center” where users can search through various help pages. Anything you need help with will probably be covered here. It includes help with everything from managing your privacy settings to explaining how your Instagram feed works. But if you find that you still need help, reaching out to the person on Instagram might not be all that impossible.
Here’s how to find the Instagram Help Center and, if necessary, contact Instagram.

Contacting Instagram Support
The Mark Zuckerberg Meta, which also owns Facebook, maintains two help desk numbers (650-543-4800 and 650-308-7300) for users of its apps. But you won’t find much help here. You will simply be redirected to online support.
USA TODAY called both numbers and received the same pre-recorded message.
“Thank you for calling Instagram. We regret that we are unable to answer your call at this time.” “In most cases, we cannot provide telephone support. Visit the Help Center at help.instagram.com.”
How to access the Instagram Help Center in the app
- Tap the menu icon in the top right corner of your profile page.
- Tap Help.
- Click Help Center.
This will bring up a search bar where you can find help for your problem.
How to access the Instagram Help Center online
You don’t need to sign in or have the Instagram app to access the Help Center. Just go to help.instagram.com in a browser.
How to contact Instagram
True, getting help from a real person will be difficult. People have reported little success in getting a response after emailing Instagram support: [email protected] Your best bet is to “Report a problem” in the Instagram app:
- Tap the menu icon in the top right corner of your profile page.
- Tap Help.
- Click Report a Problem.
You can then explain your issue and submit it as a report to Instagram along with a screenshot.
The new feature provides a shortcut for reporting a problem in the app. Shaking your phone will bring up the “Report a Problem” window and automatically upload it with a screenshot of the moment you shook your phone. Depending on what you report, perhaps it will fall into the field of view of a person. However, it’s far away.
