we’re probably closer to onethan we realize. Well, at least for global markets outside North America. On Thursday, Ford Australia published a new video showing the next-generation Ranger under much lighter camouflage than before. It’s a really fun, artsy cover that lets us see the new truck better than ever.
Must take elements from digital looking camouflageBut I really don’t see it. It looks cool, but I’m not sure where the Bronco R elements actually come in. In any case, the truck definitely looks fresh with new taillights from the rear and some embossed lines on the tailgate. However, the Camo still does a good job of hiding many of the truck’s design elements – as it should.
When we see the new truck later this year, don’t expect it to come to America right off the bat. Instead, rumors suggest that Ford will introduce the North American-spec Ranger to production in July 2023. It’s not clear what the delay is for, but it could be due to a number of different specifications designed to better meet the needs of American truck buyers. In other words, take any specification declared for the global model with a grain of salt. If anything, a turbo-four engine with a plug-in hybrid system sounds like a powertrain that could be making its way to North America.
Watch the video above and stay tuned as we keep our eyes peeled for next-generation Ranger news.
