Resident Evil Village delivers both slow build scares and jump scares, so you can make the most of its creepy setting to keep your heart rate high. After killing his wife, Ethan seeks his kidnapped baby girl, but must face demons and madmen to get any chance of saving her.

In our review, we were particularly impressed by Resident Evil Village’s great opening and attention to detail.

“It’s overwhelming as you explore the village through a dark forest. Something terrible has happened, with body parts and blood strewn like bloody narrative confetti. It’s like ‘What’s going on? ‘ the stage is great, because the world talks most of the time and it’s a Beautiful a place to search.

“Even the most mundane pieces of table crepe and floor detritus in the Village are incredibly crafted – I spent too long looking at the clutter, ‘Demon? yeah there’s a bunch somewhere but Just look at the rusty pot on this dirty table. The level of detail is never less than impressive – Castle Dimitrescu alternates between the fading beauty of its halls and crumbling dungeons and dungeons. I don’t think I passed a single shelf in the game without looking.”

Resident Evil Village is available now on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
