What to look forward to: Samsung is less than two weeks away from revealing its next foldable phones – the Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 – but it looks like official renders of the devices have already been leaked. As previously rumored, the design of the phones doesn’t seem to have changed much, if at all, although the biggest differences may not be apparent in the images.

The Z Fold 4 is shown in an amazingly beautiful beige with gold hinges and trim. There’s also the always-popular black, which Samsung usually refers to as Phantom Black, and a grey-green color – probably the same Phantom Green from the Z Fold 3. No sign of the claimed burgundy red, though.

The actual design of the phone hasn’t changed from the Z Fold 3; you would struggle to tell them apart by looking at these photos. The most significant visual change is expected to be screen creases, which are said to be much less noticeable than its predecessor thanks to a redesigned hinge. We also heard that the aspect ratio of the outer and inner displays has changed slightly, from 24.5:9 to 23:9 (outer) and from 11.2:10 to 12:10 (inner).

Upgraded internals are also present in the Z Fold 4, which is predicted to feature Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. announced in May. The in-display selfie cam will likely get the needed upgrade, and we’re also waiting to see if it has an in-body S-Pen holder similar to the Note – it’s impossible to tell from the images.

The rendering of the Z Flip 4 shows the phone in four colors, which are likely called graphite, rose gold, boron purple, and blue. As with the Z Fold 4, the design looks pretty much the same as its predecessor, with the biggest upgrades being in the hardware. It is also rumored to have a slightly larger external display and a larger battery.

Both phones will be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event on August 10th. We may also see the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Buds Pro 2 during the event.
