A group of 18 investors, including Sequoia Capital, cryptocurrency exchange Binance and asset management company Fidelity, are backing Elon Musk’s Twitter bid, the billionaire revealed on Thursday. Musk said he has raised about $7.1 billion in total from investors. Remarkably, no investor has invested more than $1 billion, and PE firms are still missing.
The firm of American business tycoon Lawrence J. Ellison provided the largest support of $1 billion. Sequoia invested $800 million, VyCapital invested $700 million, and Binance funded $500 million, Musk revealed in revised 13D filings.
