Over the past year I’ve spent a grand old time tearing apart the teardowns. But just as the Voxelated Toolbox was starting to feel a bit clichéd, developer TuxdoLabs finally put a date on Part 2, the second part of the Early Access destruction sandbox.

Part 2 has been teased for a while on developer Dennis Gustafsson’s Twitter. First it was the robot that was constantly following the players through the map. Then, later, we were shown some amazing physics toys like ropes and rocket thrusters pulled straight out of Gary’s Mod.

Today’s trailer finally gives us a good and proper look at Part 2, adding a new mountain base to show off some amazing frosty snow storms. The premise appears to disguise those bloodthirsty robots that draw on flames and machine guns, although some appear to be allergic to drowning.

Following this frozen getaway we’re introduced to a second new map on a tropical island that features lush forests, rocket turrets, and a new sniper rifle. But I’m particularly enthused by the fact that the new weather conditions aren’t exclusive to the new maps – we see versions of existing maps like Holorrock and the mission hub is covered with snow and ice while a surprisingly violent tornado makes its way. creates disappointment.

However, it’s going to be fun to see how the modern community plays out with these new additions. Teardown modders are already doing incredible things with the game, and more violent weather patterns, hostile AI, and the introduction of reflective lasers are only likely going to explode the space.

I’ll be keeping my eye on Steam Workshop when Part 2 drops on December 2. It’s currently unclear if Part 2 means the game will leave Early Access, but at the moment the teardown has enough stuff to go on for months.
