What happened now? One of the many announcements at the Sony State of Play event was a new trailer for Street Fighter 6. Not only did it show off some interesting gameplay elements, including what appears to be an open world that players can roam around in search of combat, but it also an old logo that looked suspiciously like an edited stock image has now been turned into something much bigger. pleasing to the eye.

It was back in February when Street Fighter 6 was first announced. But while it caused a lot of excitement among fans of the long-running fighting game series, the reveal also revealed what was potentially one of the worst logos of all time. The simple black and white hexagonal shape containing the initials SF was very different from the combination of the Street Fighter name and Roman numerals in previous games.

What was even more shocking about the old logo was that it looked almost exactly like the standard $80 logo on the Adobe stock image site (bottom right), albeit with some very minor changes.

Looks like Capcom has listened to the criticism. The recent trailer for Street Fighter 6 shows a brand new logo, which is pretty good. The hexagon shape remains, but this time it’s more stylized and edited to look like the number six. But the trick is that if you rotate the logo clockwise, the right side of the 6 turns into “VI”, the Roman numeral for six.

Capcom won’t be the first company to redesign something after the protests. The original film version of Sonic the Hedgehog had human teeth and legs, as well as a large gap between his normal-sized eyes, due to which disgust among the fans. This resulted in a much better perception redesignand the film became one of the best and most successful based on a video game. However, this was not the end of the ugly Sonic; he recently back for a cameo in the new movie “Chip and Dale: Rescuers”.
