America is shopping again, and Prime Day may be the best day to do so. This year, with the pandemic easing, with consumer spending up more than 10%, many consider Prime Day deals the perfect way to get more for less. The latest research from Finder’s Amazon Prime Day Shopping Report estimates that 26% of all American adults, which is 67.7 million people, plan to shop Amazon Prime Day sales. People will be rushing to the world’s largest retail site to take advantage of the biggest day sale – will you be one of them?
There’s a reason why more than a quarter of the population will be taking advantage of sales on Amazon Prime Day—they’re often wider and deeper than the sales we see on any other day of the year. The same survey, which was taken nationally, in which over 2000 Americans participated, revealed that 11% plan to buy an Amazon product or service, 1% intend to go for both! In addition, 8% say they will buy one of Amazon’s tech products, such as the Amazon Echo smart speaker, or the Kindle Paperwhite. That means you’re far from alone if you’re looking forward to Prime Day to keep an eye on some great new technology, or to upgrade your Amazon Prime services.
But sales will not be limited to technology; We expect to see deep discounts in each category, something that was uncovered in research based on gender. While roughly the same number of men and women are planning to shop, people are looking more towards gadgets, while female respondents said they are more likely to buy clothes, or products, for the home. Also, people aged 45-54 are looking for Amazon tech products, 34% of whom say they will shop this Prime Day, and 13% of whom will be looking for Amazon tech products.
But you don’t have to wait until Prime Day, Amazon will be offering some great discounts across all of its categories. “Although Prime Day was postponed last year due to the pandemic, it is back in full force this year, and we are already seeing early deals and special offers,” They say Gabrielle Pastorek, Shopping Publisher at Finder US. “Starting June 7, you can earn a $10 credit to use during Prime Day when you spend $10 or more at small businesses on Amazon. Plus, shoppers with Amazon Alexa can use the device to shop. Time can make early deals.”
There’s a great range of tech products that shoppers will be able to browse for discounts, says Pastorek. Come Prime Day, which is set for June 21 and 22, consumers can save big on select Fire TVs under $100, Apple products like smartwatches and AirPods, everyday household essentials and more. “If you’ve been waiting to spring for a big purchase, Prime Day may be the time to take advantage of below-dollar prices on everything from tech to fashion.” We support that statement, and, furthermore, if you are not already part of 26%, we encourage you to join them. You don’t want to miss.
