Enola Holmes 2 release date speculation

Netflix announced That he ordered Enola Homes 2 on his social media accounts on May 13th, but there is no news of a release date yet.

Enola Holmes debuted on Netflix in September 2020, but expecting the sequel to drop in the same month this year seems like a futile effort. Let us not forget that Millie Bobby Brown, the star of the film, is reprising her role as Eleven in Stranger Things Season 4. There are only so many hours in a day, so we can’t imagine that the actress is shooting for a new film. Chain and One film at a time.

With the new season of Stranger Things set to release next year, we’re guessing Enola Holmes 2 will arrive later in 2022 — possibly in the same September window as the first film.

Enola Homes 2 Cast

We’re not completely in the dark about Enola Homes 2. Netflix’s announcement tweet confirmed the return of Millie Bobby Brown as Enola Holmes and Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes.

The relationship between the two siblings was not really explored in the first film, with Enola forging her own path, and Sherlock and older brother Mycroft acting as an obstacle.

Netflix was embroiled in a lawsuit last year for its portrayal of Sherlock, following the release of Enola Holmes; According to the estate of Arthur Conan Doyle, Holmes is portrayed as very sentimental and hot, and with this respect for the woman, the sum of those traits apparently amounted to copyright infringement (via The Guardian) .

The trial was dismissed with prejudice, so it may have been resolved behind closed doors, but it will be interesting to see how Cavill plays up to play the world-famous detective once again.

While Enola conjures up her first secret, there’s plenty of room to rethink her family ties. But at this stage we don’t know whether Sam Claflin will take over as Mycroft Holmes or Helena Bonham Carter will appear as Eudoria Holmes.

By the time Enola’s next outing in the streets of London we left her with, Mycroft and Eudoria are almost certainly going to return with Adil Akhtar as Inspector Lestrade. However, until we get confirmation, this is just pure speculation/wishful thinking.

Enola Homes 2 Plot & Story

The first Enola Holmes film drew inspiration from the first book, The Case of the Missing Marquess. As do most adaptations, the film changed a few things, such as the age of Enola and the details of Lord Tuxbury’s disappearance.

Enola Holmes 2 could take its story from any other book, but most likely, it will be the second book, The Case of the Left-Handed Lady. This enola tries to find Lady Cecily Alistair, who went missing from her bedroom. When a disguised Enola Lady talks to Cecily’s family, they think she has eloped with a merchant’s son. But Enola finds some strange paintings that make her doubt their story.
