Loki season finale recap: Ending and post-credits scene for episode 6 explained

Sylvie and Loki prepare to step into the Citadel at the end of time.

Loki’s Time-Hopping Adventure ended Wednesday with the sixth and final episode of marvel cinematic universe hitting Disney Plus. The season concluded with Gods of Mischief variant Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Sylvie (Sofia Di Martino) after their disclosure way to the palace The mastermind behind Time Variance Authority, and leaves us with a post-credits scene that opens up a variety of Marvel possibilities.

Separately, former TVA agent Mobius (Owen Wilson) returned to his old workplace, determined to reveal the truth that he and his former co-workers are all the types who were snatched from their old life and erased their memories. It is unclear whether TVA Judge Ravona Renslayer (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) will help or hinder Mobius in his quest.

Let’s dodge the SPOILER variance authority and dive into the episode one last time, for an episode called For All Time, Always.

the villain revealed

Stepping into the Citadel at the End of Time, Loki and Sylvie meet what remains (Jonathan Majors), who appears to be a version of the period-time comic villain Kang the Conqueror. We already knew this guy was about to make his MCU debut in the February 2023 movie Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantummania.

Since he is never referred to as Kang in this episode, it seems Kang is yet to come. The one who remains claims to be the last survivor of a multiverse war, when several versions of him approached after the discovery of the multiverse in the 31st century.

Who lives in Lokik / Kang

He Who Remains explains the multiple wars of the 31st century.

He subdued and weaponized Alioth, using the Trans-Temporal to end the war (presumably in keeping with other timelines). To prevent this from happening again, he created TVA to manage the Sacred Timeline.

In the comics, Kang is a 31st century villain who has faced off against the Avengers several times since the early 60s.

He said more Loki and Sylvie fight who remains’ fate, with the latter coming out on top (after a short time kissing the version). She takes Loki back to the TVA and kills He Who Remains, who lets the timeline branch like crazy – apparently allowing multiple versions of Kang to run in the multiverse.

His influence soon becomes apparent in TVA, when Loki tries to warn the best bud Agent Mobius (Owen Wilson) and Hunter B-15 (wunmi mosaku) about the threat. They can’t remember him, and Loki turns to see a statue of Kang wearing his comic statue atop the TVA – it looks like the god of mischief has been sent to a different timeline version of the Agency, known as Kang. Openly controlling.
