If getting a PS5 wasn’t hard enough, Sony is about to make it even more popular with this bundle.
Some games are guaranteed to be consumer hits, and when they’re also a console exclusive, we usually get a console/game bundle. And it looks like Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is set to become the first game bundled with the PS5.
As VGC reports, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is set to launch as a PS5 exclusive on Friday, June 11. French news site Station of Play has tweeted images of what looks like the hardware bundle Sony is expected to release on the same day. This includes a disc version of the PS5 console, a DualSense controller, and a copy of the game. It was found listed as a product in the database of French retailer Boulanger.
The price has been set at 570 euros, which is around $700. However, this would include additional sales tax. If this bundle does launch in the US, the price is likely to be closer to $570, although the chances of actually securing one are going to be slim due to demand and net luck in most cases.
PS5 sales are believed to be double that of the Xbox Series X and Series S, and this bundle will certainly help Sony maintain that lead. We can only imagine what they’ll charge for it if they manage to get their hands on the stock. State of Play also claims that France has been allocated up to 12,000 units of the bundle, which, if true, would likely be reflected in other countries in Europe. However, it would need to do significantly more to cater to the US market.
