The vast majority of feel-good movies involve romance and courtship. However, the boy who tapped the wind William Kamakwamba (Maxwell Simba) draws his inspirational and heartwarming moments from the true story. Chiwetel Ejiofor directed the film, wrote the screenplay for William’s novel, and co-starred in the film as William’s father, Trivel Kamakawamba. As a young child in a poor village in Malawi, William struggles to educate himself after being forced to drop out of school. Nurturing his love for electronics and his ingenuity, William builds a working wind turbine that transforms the lives of his family as well as his own.

Would you be surprised to know that it has two main characters faith hope love Faith Turley (Peta Murgatroyd) and Jimmy Hope (Robert Krantz) are given names? Of course, this is a bit on the nose, as it takes a lot of faith and hope to get these two lovebirds together. Faith is coming out of a bad divorce while Jimmy mourns his late wife. They find themselves ready for a Pro-Am dance competition that Faith enters hoping to save her dance studio. The spark between them flies very quickly, but both Faith and Jimmy must learn how to let go of the future and their past before they can embrace each other.
