In a nutshell: One of the most iconic weapons in the Destiny franchise is getting a real life counterpart thanks to Nerf. The Nerf LMTD Destiny Gjallarhorn is an adult blaster modeled after the game’s exotic rocket launcher. The 1:1 scale toy has the same sculptural details you’ll find on a play weapon and is over four feet long.

It comes with three Nerf Mega projectiles, each containing three Nerf Mega darts. Two AA batteries are also required, but they are not included.

The blaster is part of the Nerf LMTD line, which makes cross-promotion blasters for various brands such as last year’s Nerf LMTD Halo Needler. Recommended for ages 12 and up.

The oversized blaster is definitely a great collectible, but it’s probably not something you want to take to the battlefield with you. It’s very similar to the squirt gun fights of yesteryear where there was always one kid who showed up with the biggest and worst gun on the block. The problem was that it was too heavy and bulky to be useful and eventually the baby would get wet first. This is essentially the same, but with foam darts instead of water.

The Bungie Consumer Product Development Team has developed a unique pre-order process for Nerf LMTD Destiny Gjallarhorn.

For the most resilient players to earn their first rewards, you’ll need to complete the Destiny 2: Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack in-game challenge by July 7 to unlock the Rocket Launcher and qualify for the Early Access pre-order window. The window opens on July 7 and will last until July 21. Eligible players must be registered with Bungie Rewards and the Bungie Store to make purchases during the Early Access period. Any units left after the early access period will be available to everyone. The price is set at $185.
