I have a loopedeck live in front of me at the moment, although admittedly I use it almost exclusively to feel like a DJ at an EDM festival whenever I want to crank up the volume on my PC. It’s easy for much more than that, trust me. It’s also a highly customizable power user console, and I mean highly customizable, offering programmable buttons and dials for whatever you need.

For Black Friday this year, Loupedeck is taking $40 off the price of Loupedeck Live, Bringing it to $229, This is the only time I have seen this device go for less than the asking price. It may have happened for a while, but I haven’t seen it, nor our Amazon price tracking tool.

It’s safe to say that it’s probably a good time if you feel tempted in any way. So let’s find out what the Loupedeck really is, in-depth.

Loupedeck is like a PC multi-tool, or at least that’s how I thought it best to describe it in my Loupedeck Live review about a year ago. I stand by that too. It adds shortcuts to common tasks, macros, functions, and more on your desktop through the use of programmable buttons, pages, dials, and a touchscreen.

  • You want Black Friday deals. Oh, we have Black Friday deals. Tons of them.

The more you put into this device, the more you get out of it. It’s pre-programmed to work with a plethora of popular creative and everyday apps like Adobe Photoshop and Google Chrome, but you can load any app you like and set your own profile for it. can do. Heck, it even acts as a MIDI keyboard in Ableton.

You want a handful of common tools in Blender at your fingertips? you got them. What about a shortcut to mute your coworkers in Zoom? It is right there. And the best part is that it is responsive to what is happening on your PC. You don’t need to dive into Adobe Photoshop and select it from the menu when you’re using the app. Lupedeck automatically switches to those shortcuts as soon as you set your primary focus (essentially click on it) in Windows.

The Lupedeck Live Desktop is Thingumajigs’ Swiss Army Knife. It brings a lot of functionality to your fingertips, and you can really make it your own with a high level of customization through the app. It works seamlessly with many apps like OBS Studio, Streamlabs, Google Chrome and Adobe Photoshop.

It’s also great for streaming, which is probably what many PC gamers would like to get out of it. It’s like the Elgato Stream Deck, except it has a lot of depth. This is both a blessing and a curse, as it means that setting up Elgato is relatively easy, while it can take some time for Loupedeck to settle with your workflow or streaming habits.

However, there have recently been major efforts to streamline the app and experience out-of-the-box, including an update to the desktop app to make it simpler if you want. It also works natively with OBS Studio and Streamlabs.

So with that in mind, if you’re looking to take your streaming setup to the next level, this might just be one way to do it.
