twitter is announced That paid ticketed locations are coming to Android users in the US in the next few days. Hosts on Spaces, Twitter’s Live Audio Rooms feature, will now be able to sell access to ticketed spaces. The Android launch follows an early ticketed Space roll out to iOS users in late August.

Applications for ticketed venues first opened in June for both iOS and Android users who are over the age of 18, have hosted three spaces in the past 30 days and have at least 1,000 followers. Twitter is now encouraging Android users to apply for ticketed spaces and provide feedback on the new feature.

The social media giant noted that the feature is a way to support creators for their time and effort in hosting and moderating public conversations. Creators can use ticketed locations to host workshops, conversations, or user interactions. Twitter said before That it will cut creators’ income from ticketed venues by 3 percent.

If a venue is a ticketed location, users will see the option to purchase tickets for an amount set by the host. Users may also receive an invitation to purchase a ticket from a participant in the ticketed location via DM with a link.

The ticketed space helps Twitter differentiate itself from its competitors, Clubhouse and Instagram, as neither of the two platforms has introduced an advance ticket sales feature.
