As of recent, the upcoming RTS Warhammer Age of Sigmaar has been delayed until the end of 2023. trading report From Developer Frontier.
It was originally due for release in early 2023, but is now expected “later in that calendar year” (thanks eurogamer) Frontier says the delay will “further improve the quality and longevity of the game, and make it more successful overall.”
To say that Age of Sigmar was announced would be an exaggeration, given the game was quietly revealed in a note to investors back in 2020. Frontier has been very tight-lipped about the whole thing – there are no screenshots, gameplay or trailers to peek and this delay is the first news since. Thankfully, Creative Assembly’s Total War: Warhammer 3 is just around the corner and ready to meet the need for new digital tabletop goodness. It is one of the most anticipated games of 2022 from the PC Gamer team.
The trading report also mentions Elite Dangerous: Odyssey, which was launched in mid-2021 in a dilapidated state. “Elite Dangerous experienced a difficult calendar 2021 following the disappointing launch of the major Odyssey expansion in May 2021,” the report said. “We continue to support the game and our passionate players with development updates, and as a result we have seen an improvement in player sentiment.”
