What is the difference between screen mirroring and screen casting?
Sometimes users may get confused about difference between screen mirroring and screen casting because they are so similar.
Screen mirroring is used to display the exact screen movements of your iPhone or other device on a large display such as a TV in the same room. The destination display mirrors your device exactly.
Screen casting – another feature that is commonly found in screen mirroring in phones, tablets and other devices – refers to casting the video from your device to the display and continuing to use the device without interrupting the video. For example, you can cast video from your phone to your TV, but still be able to use your phone to send a text message. Text messages will not affect video playback on the TV.
Screencasting also does not duplicate the exact screen of the phone or the movements on the TV. So once you shoot a video; you can’t see it playing on your phone while it’s running on your TV.
